Since the parkour gym’s been closed off for a while due to moving locations and other fun, delaying issues, I’ve been training outside in the urban wilderness with the regulars.
I have to say, I find it a bit easier to try out new things! Not like flips or anything too high-velocity, but more like applying the vaults and jumps that I’ve learned in the MV gym to the real world and really exploring the true nature of parkour movement.
But, as you might know by now… I live in Toronto and it’s November.
What does that mean?
It’s snowing today, too. Luckily, there’s only a bit of snow on the ground, but YAY, frozen particles of reduced friction covering the ground…
I’ll post how it goes when I get back.
If you’re going out training in the wintertime or in any less-than-favourable weather conditions, dress appropriately, wear good shoes and train with a partner for safety reasons.
Have fun training!
